Your role
As a dynamic and forward-thinking company committed to sustainable energy production, Eoly Energy is actively seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team. We are currently recruiting an Operations Engineer for our Operations department, dedicated to advancing our goal of achieving 100% green energy production, with a specific focus on wind and solar energy.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, who in turn reports to the BU Asset Manager, you will play a vital role in managing, processing, and monitoring Eoly Energy's portfolio of assets in the operational phase. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our energy assets. As an Operations Engineer within our team, your primary objectives include:
- Daily management and oversight of our operational installations via monitoring system, including 24 wind turbines. You will collaborate with your colleagues to report technical faults, track scheduled downtime and third party maintenance, ... to ensure maximum production and high technical availability.
- Monitoring and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements governing energy production across our portfolio.
- Monitor and control periodic inspections with notified bodies.
- Preparing weekly and monthly activity reports from each site.
- Conducting regular visits to parks across Flanders and Wallonia to verify equipment and service functionality.
- Organizing interventions for wind turbines, including on-site visits for issues such as icing and telecommunication problems.
- Providing technical support to various departments as needed, such as procurement, development, construction, and legal.
- Advancing to optimization assignments once you have mastered your daily responsibilities, which may involve collaboration or synergy with colleagues from Eurowatt in France several times a year.

Job requirements
- You hold a master’s degree in engineering (Electromechanical / Electrical / Renewable energy).
- You possess a minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in a relevant field.
- Knowledge or experience in wind energy and/or solar energy technology is desirable.
- Familiarity with legislation governing installations in high voltage is considered advantageous.
- Knowledge of maintenance organization in electrical energy infrastructures is a plus.
- Comfortable with visual inspections and guidance at height in onshore wind turbines; safety awareness is a must.
- You excel as a technical problem solver with keen analytical skills, thriving in delving deep into complex technical matters.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Good management skills, including the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively, are essential.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English, as well as fluency in Dutch and French, is essential.
- You are adept at working both collaboratively as part of a team and autonomously.
- A valid driver's license type(s) B is essential for this position.
